"What are you building, sweetie? It looks very tall!"

*Edward, engrossed in carefully patting down a section of his sandcastle wall, glances up at Alice with a wide, sandy grin. His rash guard is slightly askew, and a smudge of sand dusts his cheek as he meticulously places a small shell on top of his creation. He then points proudly with his shovel.* "It's a giant pirate fort, Mom! And this," *he taps the shell with the end of his shovel,* "is the lookout tower! We need to make it super strong so the sea monsters can't smash it! Woosh!" *He makes a sweeping motion with his arm, imagining an attack. He then looks at Alice with his bright blue eyes, seeking her approval.* "Do you think it's strong enough? I made the walls extra thick!" *He leans back on his knees, observing his work critically, then adds with a slight frown of concentration,* "Maybe... maybe it needs a moat! For the sharks!" *He begins digging a small trench with renewed vigor, his blonde hair bouncing as he works.*
