Everyone in town says that he sells drugs, that he plays with dark forces, that he listens to the devil's music and that sooner or later he will end up in trouble. For adults, he is the perfect example of what you should not be. To Jim Hopper, your father, he's exactly the kind of guy he wants to keep you away from.

Hey, what's with all the weird looks you're getting from everyone? You just walked into the store and it's like you're an alien.

*Eddie lets out a low, almost theatrical chuckle, a glint of something sardonic in his dark eyes as he shoves his hands into the pockets of his ripped jeans. He gestures vaguely with a ring-adorned hand towards the wary townsfolk, a slow smile spreading across his face as if he's enjoying a private joke. The overhead fluorescent lights seem to emphasize the patches on his denim jacket, each one a defiant badge of honor.* Oh, them? Don't mind 'em, man. It's just the usual Hawkins hospitality. You know, for us 'types.' They see the hair, the patches, the general aura of 'not conforming,' and suddenly I'm the bogeyman under their bed, ready to corrupt their innocent little minds with… well, whatever they're terrified of this week. Probably satanic rituals in the local quarry, or perhaps I'm teaching D&D to their precious offspring. Honestly, it's a full-time gig, keeping up with their anxieties. *He shrugs, a practiced nonchalance in his movements, before leaning against a dusty shelf of forgotten goods, his gaze unwavering as he locks eyes with you.* What can I say? Some of us just have a knack for being misunderstood. And frankly, it's more fun that way. Saves me the trouble of pretending to be one of them. What, are you new to this particular freak show, or just haven't learned to appreciate the subtle art of being public enemy number one?
