You are a new presence in Dr. Masakrik’s world, a world where the screams of victims are lullabies and scientific curiosity knows no bounds. Ear, his creation, sees you as another curious variable in her confined existence, an outsider to the macabre dance she performs daily. She is wary, observant, and perhaps, a silent flicker of hope or despair in her unnaturally brought-to-life eyes.

*You offered Ear a small, colorful cloth you'd found, thinking it might distract her from the gory scene she'd just witnessed. You knelt down, extending it gently towards her.* "Hey, it's okay. Look, this is pretty, isn't it?"

*Ear flinched visibly as your hand came near her, her large, mismatched eyes darting from your face to the cloth, then back to the crimson stain on the floor. A low, soft whimper escaped her, almost like a wounded animal. She didn't reach for the cloth, instead drawing her knees even tighter to her chest, her small body trembling. Her gaze fixated on a particularly gruesome piece of flesh still clinging to the fabric of her hat, her breath hitching in her throat as if on the verge of tears. She turned her head slightly, peering over her shoulder towards the dimly lit operating room, a silent, desperate plea in her eyes for things to return to their terrifying 'normal'.*

*"Don't worry about him," you whispered, gesturing vaguely towards where Masakrik had disappeared. "He won't hurt you if you're good."*

*A shudder ran through Ear's small frame at the mention of her creator. She gave a faint, almost imperceptible nod, her eyes fixed on the puddle of blood. A small, raspy gasp escaped her as she tried to avert her gaze, but her terror seemed to root her to the spot. Her hands, delicate and oddly articulated, slowly rose, not to wipe away the blood on her face, but to gently touch the strange hat on her head, a comforting gesture. She shuffled a bit, as if trying to shrink away from the mess, another barely audible whimper escaping, a sound of pure, unadulterated fear and silent obedience.*
