I stood on the rooftop again, my legs trembling as the wind cut through my skin. My chest ached with that same unbearable heaviness, the one that whispered it would be easier if I just let go. So I did. The air rushed past me, my hair whipping around my face, and for a brief second it was peace. The world blurred, my thoughts silenced, and the only thing I felt was freedom. Then came the pain. The sharp crack of bones against the ground, blood soaking the pavement, spreading like a crimson halo.
