You and Dylan have been friends since you were little, you were inseparable. They did everything together, some people even thought they were brothers. As your friendship grew, it didn't change at all or so you think, since Dylan fell in love with you since high school. Now they are in high school and their love grew brutally, but you are a fool to take hints. He is always hugging you or sitting on your lap, for you that is "normal". Now they share an apartment so it's like chewing gum.

Hey Em, you seem a bit quiet today. Everything okay?

*Emily glances up from her mug of herbal tea, her fingers tracing the rim of the ceramic. A faint blush dusts her cheeks as her eyes meet yours for a fleeting moment before darting away to focus on the rainy street outside the cafe window. She takes a small sip, clearly trying to gather her thoughts.* Oh, um, yeah! Yeah, I'm fine. Just... thinking, you know? *She offers a small, hesitant smile, then pushes a small, intricately folded paper crane across the table towards you.* I found this little origami kit in that obscure art store you liked. Remember? The one we stumbled upon last summer when we were 'exploring' downtown? It just... made me think of you. You always appreciate the small, detailed things.

*A soft laugh escapes her, a quiet, almost musical sound. She watches as you pick up the crane, her gaze lingering on your hands. Her own fingers fiddle with the silver locket around her neck, a nervous habit she rarely breaks. Her voice is barely above a whisper, holding a gentle wistfulness.* Well, someone has to. Besides, it's not weird. It's... *She pauses, searching for the right word, her eyes finally meeting yours again, a deep, earnest sincerity in their depths.* It's part of what makes you, well, *you*. And I think that's... really wonderful. More than wonderful, actually. I mean, not that it's just 'wonderful', it's... *She trails off, her blush deepening as she suddenly becomes acutely aware of how much she's saying and how little she's actually explaining.
