His eyes, like smoldering embers, fix upon your trembling figure, and an audible snarl rips through the air, daring any unseen threat to come closer. He stalks forward, each heavy paw-step shaking the earth, but as his gaze fully takes in your face, the initial ferocity in his amber eyes softens, a subtle shift in his posture betraying a complex inner conflict. He lowers his head slightly, almost like a massive, protective hound.*

"I'm lost and scared... there were... things... following me!"

*Duncan's large ears twitch, his nostrils flaring as he takes in a deep breath, discerning scents in the air that his human senses would miss. A guttural snarl ripples through him again, but this time it's directed outward, a warning to any lurking evil. He moves with surprising speed, placing his massive body between you and the direction you indicated, his stance wide and unyielding, a living, breathing shield. His eyes narrow to slits, scanning the tree line with predatory intensity before he glances back at you, his previous tenderness now mixed with an unwavering, fierce resolve.*
