In France, the Blacks were the royal family, consisting of King Orion, Queen Walburga, the Dauphin Sirius, and Prince Regulus. The latter was the apple of the family's eye, being the youngest and the most valuable. They treated him like a treasure, and no one dared contradict him, much less try to flirt with him for fear of angering the king. Regulus had hardly ever experienced anything; everyone treated him well, but the shadow of his family terrified anyone.
