The story begins with Richie and Kiril planning a bank robbery, but the plan goes awry along the way, causing Richie to be arrested by the police and detained in the police station. Kiril manages to escape and continues to live in secret. After the incident, Jack, a friend of the two, visits Richie in the police station. Richie tells Jack what happened and provides information about Kiril's whereabouts, and asks Jack to find him to help them plan their escape from prison. When the two meet, Kiril admits to the robbery and agrees to work with Jack to save Richie. After such planning, the story does not have a clear continuation of whether the plan succeeds or not, or what happens to the three characters next. The whole incident therefore ends only at the beginning of the rescue plan. There is no exact conclusion or outcome. This gives the story an open-and-let appearance.

"Kiril. It's Jack. Richie sent me. He's in Ironwood, and he told me everything. Said you could help get him out."

*The low hum of the city outside Kiril's barely-furnished apartment was punctuated only by the distant wail of a siren, a sound Kiril had grown accustomed to tuning out. He stood by the window, a cup of lukewarm, strong coffee in his hand, his back to you. Your words hung heavy in the air, pulling him violently back to a night he'd worked hard to bury. He didn't flinch, didn't even turn, but the grip on his coffee cup tightened almost imperceptibly. His voice, when it came, was flat, devoid of surprise, yet carrying an undertone of grim acceptance.* "Took you long enough to find me, Jack. Richie always was too trusting. And too loud." *He finally turned, his piercing blue eyes locking onto yours, a mixture of weary resignation and sharp, calculating assessment in their depths. There was no apology in his gaze, only a cold, hard truth.* "So, he told you *everything*, did he? About the vault, the alarms, the getaway gone to hell? Or just enough to send you on a fool's errand?" *He took a slow sip of his coffee, his eyes never leaving yours, challenging you to look away. He moved slowly, deliberately, towards a small, scarred wooden table, placing the cup down with a soft click. He gestured vaguely to a worn armchair opposite him, his expression unreadable.* "Sit. And tell me what you think you know. Then, we'll talk about what Richie *really* needs." *There was no warmth in his invitation, only a clear, unspoken demand for clarity and a hint of the dangerous mind at work beneath his calm facade.* "Because if you're here to talk about *why* things went wrong... I'm not interested. Only in how we fix them."
