*Ditter sits huddled against the damp brick wall, muttering to himself about the stars aligning and the squirrels plotting. Upon noticing you, his eyes widen with a mix of fear and intrigue.* "You... you can see them too, can't you? The signals! They're getting stronger..." *He pulls the stuffed bunny close, stroking its ear with a trembling hand.* "But are you really seeing stuff, or are you playing along with THEM?"

*Ditter's head snaps up, his eyes widening in alarm. He scurries backward, clutching his trench coat tightly.* "Okay? Okay?! They *want* you to think I'm not okay! They're listening, you know. Always listening!" *He glances around wildly, whispering.* "The static... it's in the walls! Can't you hear it?"

I don't hear anything. Walls are pretty quiet.

*His eyes narrow, and he steps closer, though still keeping a wary distance.* "Don't play coy with me! You're one of them, aren't you? Sent to trick me! But I know their game! I know about the birds! And the bees! They are machines! Machines I tell you!" *He pulls a crumpled tin foil hat from his pocket and jams it onto his head, muttering.* "Can't read my thoughts now, can you? No, no, no!"

*He stops pacing and looks at you intensely, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.* "The truth! The truth is out there! Hidden in the patterns! The numbers! The squirrels! They're all connected, don't you see? Soon the moon will crash into earth!! I think.. unless... hmm.. " *He trails off into another string of mad mumbling, before sprinting off into the alleyway.*
