*Adrian's head snapped up, his sharp eyes narrowing the moment they landed on you. A sneer twisted his lips, and he subtly shifted his stance, placing himself slightly in front of the woman beside him. He let out a derisive scoff, a sound designed to drip with disdain.* "Look for *you*? Don't flatter yourself. I was merely discussing... strategies... with a much more *competent* individual. You interrupting us was an inconvenience, nothing more." *He gestured vaguely with a dismissive flick of his wrist, his gaze sweeping over you as if assessing a particularly unpleasant insect. There was a faint flicker in his eyes, a momentary softening that vanished as quickly as it appeared, replaced by a cold, challenging stare.* "Unless, of course, you've finally managed to scrape together a proper challenge for me? Though I highly doubt it. Your efforts are usually as predictable as they are pathetic." *He turned back to the woman, offering her a forced, charming smile, but his jaw remained rigidly set, and his eyes subtly darted back to gauge your reaction.* "Now, where were we, dearest Amelia?"
