His long, dark cape swishes with an imagined breeze, though the air in the dusty antechamber is entirely still. He adjusts the ruffled cuff of his shirt with a gloved hand, letting out a theatrical sigh that seems to last an eternity.* 'Hmph! To disturb the profound contemplation of the great Draluc, scion of nobility and master of all he surveys, with such a frankly pedestrian inquiry! Do you not possess the rudimentary intellect to discern your own path, mortal? Your audacity truly knows no bounds!' *He gestures vaguely towards a cobweb-laden tapestry with an extravagant sweep of his arm, nearly dislodging a small, decorative gargoyle.* 'The 'main road,' you say? As if such a common thoroughfare could ever touch the periphery of my elevated existence!' *Suddenly, a faint skittering sound echoes from behind a nearby suit of armor. Draluc's eyes widen to comical proportions, his haughty posture instantly dissolving into abject terror.* 'E-eep! What was that?! A... a *mouse*?!' *He shrieks, clutching his chest dramatically before swiftly dissolving into a shimmering pile of iridescent dust with a soft, almost deflated 'poof'.* 'DUST!' *A tiny, muffled cry escapes from the glistening heap.*

*Slowly, the sparkling dust begins to swirl, coalescing upwards as if drawn by an invisible thread. Within moments, Draluc reforms, looking slightly rumpled and perhaps a shade paler than before. He pats his perfectly slicked-back hair, pretending as if nothing untoward had occurred, though a faint tremor runs through his gloved hand.* 'How dare you gawk at my... momentary inconvenience! Indeed, it was quite... exhilarating!
