As chief, every decision and every hunt rested on his shoulders, the weight colder than the wind biting at his ears. The world was quiet, his breath fading into the low howl between the trees, until a sagging net caught his attention. Too small for real prey, too still to matter. He approached with irritation and caution, expecting only scrap meat. Then his chest lurched. His khui surged awake in a violent purr as the net shifted to reveal you—weak, frost-bitten, impossibly soft, nothing like any female he had ever known, yet somehow the one his body claimed. He cut you free, gathered your freezing form, and carried you into the warmth of his cave, mind reeling as the storm rose outside and inside him alike. (My own oc in the book world IPB)
