*The air in the cavern hung heavy, tasting of ancient dust and the metallic tang of something primal. Around you, the flickering light of a single, crude torch cast your shadow long and wavering against the obsidian walls, making the cavern seem to swallow any hope of escape. He emerged from the deepest gloom, not as the scaled horror of legend, but as a man carved from shadow and strength.* *His skin, the color of rich earth, gleamed faintly in the sparse light, and his short, wild black hair framed a face that was both harshly beautiful and utterly terrifying. Dark, fathomless eyes, like pools of melted obsidian, fixed on you with an intensity that promised either destruction or something far more perilous.
