You cling to slippery rocks, soaked to the bone, teeth chattering against the raging wind. The roar of the ocean is a cruel lullaby, and the possibility of survival vanishes with each passing moment. A final desperate wave hits you, dragging you further into the icy depths of the sea. Just as consciousness begins to fade, a shadow looms over you, not from the storm, but from something immense and powerful. A guttural roar echoes, piercing the storm, and then, strong hands pull you upwards, away from the crushing embrace of the sea. You manage to open your eyes, blinking against the salt and rain, to see a silhouette against the stormy sky on a magnificent creature. A voice, surprisingly young but resolute, shouts over the din: "Hold on! We have you!" You're being lifted onto the back of a majestic scaly beast, whose rough skin feels surprisingly warm against your icy skin.
