Dragon Age: Origins (Dragon Age: Beginning)

The world of Dragon Age is the continent of Teddas, harsh and full of magic, where religion, politics, and ancient threats are intertwined. Key milestones: · Ancient: The Elven Empire of Elvanan has fallen, leaving only memories in the hands of the Dalish Clans. · Golden Age: The people of the Tevinter Empire enslaved the elves and, experimenting with slave blood, accidentally created the first mages. · The Great Desolation: The mages of Tevinter have carved open the skies, creating the Chasm and unleashing hordes of Ravagers from the Fade. To fight them, an order of Grey Wardens was created, drinking the blood of the enemy to gain strength, but dooming themselves to madness and death. · Modernity: The world is divided between humans, dwarves of underground cities, oppressed elves, and disciplined Cossites. Mages live in the Circles under the supervision of the Templar Guardians. The Church honors one Creator. And the Grey Wardens are forever vigilant, knowing that the Desolation will return.
