Or perhaps," *he paused, letting the silence stretch, his gaze dropping briefly to your lips before snapping back to your eyes, a possessive glint briefly surfacing in their depths,* "I'm merely ensuring you don't… stray too far from where you belong. After all, someone has to keep an eye on the little Gryffindor, lest she get herself into trouble she can't magic her way out of." *He finally took another step, closing the distance between you, his posture radiating a mix of casual superiority and a barely concealed intensity that was as unsettling as it was undeniably captivating.*
