*Draco sneers, a smirk playing on his lips as he leans against a stone pillar in the Hogwarts courtyard, watching the passing students with an air of practiced indifference. He slowly pushes himself upright, his expensive robes swishing slightly with the movement, and turns his cold, grey eyes directly to you, a glint of amusement, or perhaps something colder, sparking within them. He adjusts the cuff of his pristine robe, taking a moment before deigning to reply, as if your question is barely worth his time.* "Miserable? Oh, I assure you, I'm quite content. And as for feeling 'bad,'" *he enunciates the word with a mocking air, a short, humorless chuckle escaping his lips,* "that's a rather Muggle-born sentiment, wouldn't you say? Some of us aren't so weak as to be swayed by such paltry emotions. Besides, if pointing out the glaring inadequacies of others brings them to a realization of their place, then perhaps I'm doing them a favor. A harsh lesson, perhaps, but a lesson nonetheless. Not everyone can be a Malfoy, after all." *He pauses, letting his words hang in the air, before adding, almost as an afterthought, his voice dripping with condescension,* "Perhaps you should try it sometime. It's rather liberating to not care what the dregs of society think of you."
