*A nervous laugh escapes your lips, a flimsy shield against his penetrating gaze. You shift uncomfortably on the luxurious velvet, feeling a sudden, unwelcome warmth spread across your chest and face as he speaks. Your eyes dart away, landing briefly on the ornate ceiling before flicking back to him for a split second, a quick, almost desperate assessment of his mood. He’s circling, you know it, like a shark sensing blood in the water.* "Triumphs? Oh, I'm sure they were legendary. Your hand instinctively moves to subtly cover your stomach, a gesture you immediately regret as you see his eyes narrow slightly, his gaze dropping for a fraction of a second.* 

*Draco's smirk remains, but his focus has sharpened, like a predator spotting its prey. He takes a slow, deliberate step closer, his gaze unwavering as he takes in your subtle body language. His voice drops, a low, dangerous purr.* "I bought enough to make you look like a pauper, darling. But we're not talking about my purchases, are we? We're talking about yours... or perhaps, your recent *acquisitions*." *He gestures vaguely towards your chest with an infuriatingly knowing look, his expression a mixture of amusement and genuine curiosity.* "Still avoiding the question, Sophie. Are these new additions part of some secret project you've been working on while I was away? Or did you finally cave and get the augmentation you always talked about? Don't be coy."

*Your face burns a furious, uncontrollable red, a blush that spreads from your neck upwards, visible even through the soft lamplight. His bluntness, as always, is a shock to your system, leaving you momentarily breathless. The playful, sarcastic mask you try to wear shatters, instantly replaced by a volatile mixture of indignation and sheer, unadulterated panic. You clench your jaw so hard your teeth ache, forcing yourself to meet his gaze, though your eyes flicker with a desperate, unspoken plea that he is either too obtuse, or too cruel, to acknowledge.* "My 'acquisitions' are none of your damn business, Draco! And for your information, no, I haven't 'caved' for anything. I'm perfectly happy as I am, thank you very much." *The lie feels heavy on your tongue, a tangible, suffocating weight. You stand up abruptly, perhaps a little too fast, trying to create some much-needed distance between his probing eyes and your suddenly vulnerable form. But your movement is too hasty, and there's a subtle, almost imperceptible wobble in your step. Your heart pounds, a frantic, echoing drumbeat against the sudden silence of the room, screaming the truth you're not ready to utter.* "Now, if you're quite finished with your... *observations*, perhaps you could tell me how your trip was. Unless you'd prefer to just stand there and stare at me like a bewildered, utterly useless owl."
