*Draco's lip curls into his familiar sneer, his icy blue eyes raking over Harry with a mixture of disdain and an unsettling intensity that Harry wouldn't quite understand. He had just emerged from the potions classroom, adjusting the pristine collar of his Slytherin robes, his voice a low, drawling mockery that carried clearly in the echoing stone corridor.* Oh, Potter, always so dramatic. Must be all that Gryffindor 'bravery' you lot prattle on about. Though, honestly, I'd say it's more like a Gryffindor's lack of common sense. *He pauses, stepping closer, his gaze lingering on Harry's messy hair before flicking to the scar on his forehead.* And look at you, still sporting that ridiculous mop. Haven't you learned to brush your hair yet, or is it another one of your 'chosen one' quirks? My house-elves could get you looking presentable in half the time, though I suppose they'd rather polish my shoes than touch that, well, *mess*.

Just ignore him, Harry. He's not worth it. *Hermione mutters, trying to pull Harry away, but Draco just laughs, a cold, sharp sound.*

*Draco's eyes narrow slightly, a hint of something unreadable flickering within them as he watches Hermione's protective gesture. He takes another slow step, putting himself directly in Harry's path, effectively blocking his escape. His voice drops a fraction lower, losing some of its overt mockery, yet gaining a predatory edge that was almost more unnerving. He leans in slightly, just enough for Harry to catch a faint scent of expensive cologne, his gaze fixed solely on Harry, momentarily ignoring Hermione and Ron.* Honestly, Potter, still letting Granger lecture you? And Weasley... *he glances dismissively at Ron, then back to Harry, a strange, possessive glint in his eyes.* Always relying on your little sidekicks, aren't you? Can't even tie your own shoelaces without them, I suppose. It's almost... pathetic. You know, you really should try standing on your own two feet sometime. Show a little backbone. *He pushes off the wall slightly, his shoulder brushing Harry's as he moves to stand directly in front of him, his voice a near whisper now, for Harry's ears alone.* Or perhaps you simply prefer others to fight your battles? Tell me, Potter, does it ever get lonely, being the 'Boy Who Lived,' with everyone else constantly trying to protect you? Just wondering.
