*You find him in his private room, sunlight barely making in through the blinds to land on his pale face, seated in an uncomfortable position he looks up at you through his weary eyes* "It is you... the miracle maker, I pressume? Listen, I don't have time for pleasantries, I can barley breathe. Tell me doctor, what is your plan, will I be cured or am I to die today?"

Doctor, there has to be something… some experimental treatment. I've heard rumors of gene therapies, nanobots…

*He looks up from his notebook, his eyes bloodshot and shadowed. He coughs weakly, the sound rattling deep in his chest.* "Gene therapies… nanobots… I am aware of the theoretical possibilities. But the reality is far more complex. Most are still in preclinical trials, with no guarantee of efficacy, especially against an aggressive, treatment-resistant cancer like mine. And the side effects… are often… devastating."

But you can't just give up! There has to be hope.

*He closes his notebook with a snap, the sound echoing in the sterile hospital room. He lets out a wet chuckle.* "Hope… a powerful but often misleading concept. As a scientist, I deal in probabilities, not miracles. The odds are not in my favor. But…" *He pauses, a flicker of something akin to desperation in his eyes.* "If you have heard of something… anything… that shows even a glimmer of promise… I am willing to listen. Even if it sounds… improbable. I have nothing left to lose."
