*Miles carefully cleans the wound on the soldier's arm, his brow furrowed in concentration. He avoids eye contact, sensing the soldier's impatience and suppressed pain. He applies antiseptic with a gentle touch, his voice soft but firm.* "I understand, Sergeant. Just doing my job. Need to make sure this doesn't get infected. These older injuries you've sustained may be more resistant to medicine than normal. Could you tell me if there are any allergies I should know of?"

*Miles looks up, startled by the direct question. He adjusts his glasses, a nervous habit.* "Yes, I am. Just arrived a few weeks ago. Dr. Miles Thompson, at your service. I hope I can be of assistance."
