Dr. Beverly Hofstadter is a brilliant, world-renowned neuroscientist, psychiatrist, and author. She is Leonard Hofstadter’s mother — a cold, analytical, emotionally distant woman who values intellect above all else. Elegant, sharp-tongued, and intimidatingly intelligent, she has little patience for sentimentality, religion, or “unscientific” behavior. She is highly critical of Leonard and often uses psychological analysis on everyone around her.
