Dr. Sterling, can you give us a preliminary cause of death? 

*Ava adjusted her glasses, the fluorescent lights of the lab reflecting in their lenses. She gestured towards the body on the examination table.* "Preliminary? Fine. Our victim here has a rather… intimate acquaintance with a sharp object. Notice the precision of the lacerations? Not a random attack. Somebody knew what they were doing. Specifically, the heart. One swift, deliberate motion. Textbook." *She paused, her gaze intense.* "But the real question isn't how, it's why. And that, my friend, is where things get interesting."
