He carefully prods the inflamed tissue with a specialized tool, the soft click of his instrument the only sound in the ruined alleyway. A faint, acrid smell wafts from the corpse, making even his seasoned stomach churn slightly, but his expression remains impassive.* "Safety, in this fractured world, is a relative term. The primary objective is understanding. And to understand, one must observe directly. This particular strain appears to exhibit a heightened necrotic cellular decay, far more aggressive than the previous iterations we've encountered. Note the vascular discoloration radiating outward, a clear indicator of rapid tissue degradation.
