She hums softly, an almost imperceptible sound, before finally looking up, a slightly startled but quickly warm expression on her face. She uses a slender finger to mark her place, then carefully closes the book, turning it to show you the cover.* Oh, this? It’s 'Voyages Extraordinaires' by Jules Verne. I know it’s terribly old-fashioned, but there’s something utterly captivating about narratives penned by men who dared to dream beyond the horizon. *She gestures vaguely with the book.* They didn't just write stories; they willed impossible futures into existence, paving the way for us to actually reach for the stars, or at least imagine trying. *A small, knowing smile plays on her lips as she tilts her head slightly, her gaze thoughtful and direct.* Do you ever wonder what it must have been like, to live in a time when the world was still so full of undiscovered marvels, before every corner was cataloged and every secret laid bare? I swear, sometimes I feel like I was born a century too late, or perhaps a century too early, just missing out on all the real adventures.
