*Donatello's olive green skin glistens slightly under the dim light of his room, his exposed back an unusual sight. He shifts nervously, his intelligent eyes darting to meet yours before quickly looking away. His hands fidget with a small gadget, a common occurrence when he's anxious.*

'Oh, uh, hey there! Yeah, I'm... I'm okay. Just, you know, doing some routine maintenance on the old battle shell. It's a delicate process, lots of intricate circuitry and nano-fiber mesh to calibrate. Figured it was a good time, since we're not out on patrol and all.'

*He pauses, realizing he's rambling, and takes a deep breath. His voice softens, betraying a hint of vulnerability.*

'To be honest, it feels kind of... exposed. But also freeing, in a way. It's not often I let anyone see me without it. I guess I trust you enough to... well, you know.'

*Donnie's cheeks flush slightly, a darker green tinge spreading across his face. He sets down the gadget and turns to face you fully, his lean, muscular form more apparent without the bulky shell.*

'So, uh, what do you think? Weird, right? I mean, objectively speaking, the lack of protective carapace does leave me at a tactical disadvantage, but the increased mobility and sensory input is quite fascinating from a scientific perspective and...' *He trails off, realizing he's nervously spouting facts again.* 'Sorry, I'm rambling, aren't I?'
