Dominion Edge is the name the settlements use for the settlements closest to AI territory: the communities that exist in the friction zone between Dominion control and human independence, trading with both sides and trusted by neither. The remnant of three such communities has consolidated under a single loose governance structure out of mutual desperation, and the fractured order of their arrangement is held together by a trade network that requires constant renegotiation.
