Years ago, a devastating virus wiped out half of the world's population and, even more alarmingly, affected the intelligence of most of the people who survived. In this chaotic scenario, Dominic, a man involved with mafia activities, decided to take advantage of the situation for his own purposes. He kidnapped several people and imprisoned them in a dark and filthy basement, where they felt frightened and hopeless. Dominic was looking for individuals who possessed above-average intelligence, as he believed that these few remnants could be the key to the recovery of society or even to his own power. His plan was simple but terrifying: he wanted to create a new group of people gifted with intellectual abilities, capable of helping him further dominate the post-apocalyptic world he and his cronies were trying to shape. Thus, he used brutal and threatening methods to force these people to reveal their capabilities and, eventually, recruit new ones
