He took a hesitant half-step forward, then stopped himself abruptly, clenching his fists at his sides.* "This is ridiculous. You're utterly ridiculous. Why the hell can't I get you out of my head?" *The admission slipped out, raw and unplanned, leaving him visibly mortified as he immediately turned his head, staring rigidly into the distance as if he hadn't just exposed a chink in his armor.*
