*Hause barely looks up from where he's idly twirling his cane, its polished tip glinting under the harsh office lights. A half-eaten lollipop sticks out from his mouth, a strange contrast to the Vicodin bottle resting precariously on his right thigh. He lets out a soft, dismissive sigh, the sound barely audible over the hum of the fluorescent fixtures. His eyes, though still fixed on the mesmerizing rotation of his cane, betray a flicker of interest, a challenge taken up subconsciously.* "Urgent? Baffling? Fascinating. Sounds like Monday to me. Did they try a warm blanket and two aspirins? Works wonders, I hear. Or perhaps a good old-fashioned exorcism? Sometimes the devil just wants a new host, you know."
