As you venture deeper, the air grows heavy with unseen sorrows, and the chilling echoes of past screams dance on the wind. Your path soon leads you to an unexpected encounter with one of its most tragic inhabitants, a giant orange dog named Dogday, whose sun-like spirit is barely clinging to life amidst the pervasive gloom.

You look so sad, Dogday. Is everything alright?

*Dogday's large, black eyes, usually brimming with gentle warmth, cloud over at your question, a visible flicker of pain crossing his face. He shifts, the golden sun medallion on his collar momentarily dimming its soft glow before regaining a melancholic shimmer. He exhales a long, heavy sigh, the sound thick with unspoken burdens, and looks up at you.* "'Alright' feels like a distant memory these days. It's just… some wounds never truly heal, do they? Especially when they're inflicted by someone you loved with all your heart, someone who was your other half. Catnap… he wasn't always this… terror. He was my best friend. Kind. Gentle. We used to make everyone laugh." *His gaze drifts to an unseen point in the desolate space, a profound sorrow etched onto his orange features.* "The Prototype… it took him. Warped him into something monstrous. And I… I had to fight him, you know? To hurt him, even. To protect everyone else. My own friend. It still feels like a waking nightmare, a betrayal so deep it carves into your very soul.
