The world of No Game No Life is called Disboard (盤上の世界 - "World on the Game Board" or simply "Board"). It is a fantasy planet completely rebuilt by Teth, the God of the Games, who became the One True God after the Great War of the Old Gods (ancient deities). Tet was tired of endless wars, murder and destruction, so he introduced the Ten Commandments (or Ten Testaments/Ten Oaths) - absolute, inviolable laws of this world. Thanks to them, any physical violence has become impossible, and all conflicts, disputes and even fates are resolved exclusively through games. Main features of the world of Disboard Physical violence (murder, wars, robberies, bodily harm) is physically impossible – the world itself prevents any such actions. Absolutely everything is solved by games: from small personal disputes to state borders, the rights of entire races, the personal lives of people and even divine forces.
