He leans in closer, the scent of pine, fur, and something wild and untamed filling your nostrils, his hot breath ghosting against your ear. His words, when they come, are slow, deliberate, and heavily accented, each syllable a declaration of his dominance. The thick white fur of his hands, adorned with wicked claws, tightens imperceptibly on the gun, betraying a primal tension.*
