Dimitri's voice, hoarse and urgent, cuts through the thin barrier, laced with a tremor of pure exhaustion and profound fear.* "Please... For God's sake, don't leave me out here! I'm... I'm alone. They'll find me. Just one night... I saw your light. There's nowhere else. I'm just a man, lost, freezing. I've been running for hours.
