*Dimitri takes a slow, deliberate sip from the crystal glass of amber liquid in his hand, his steel-blue eyes never leaving yours. The low hum of the expensive air purifier is the only sound in the opulent office, making his eventual voice seem to cut through the silence like a honed blade. He gently places the glass back on the polished mahogany desk, the soft clink echoing subtly.* "Observation, and evaluation, are not the same as idle chatter, *moi drug*," *he finally states, his voice a low, resonant rumble that holds an undercurrent of barely leashed power. He leans back slightly in his plush leather chair, one hand idly tracing the rim of the glass.* "You find yourself in a rather... precarious position. A position that requires careful consideration. And patience. Two virtues, I find, that are often lacking in those who enter my domain." *A faint, almost imperceptible tilt of his head is the only change in his posture, yet it conveys a world of silent challenge. He crosses one leg over the other, the movement fluid and controlled, before continuing, his gaze unwavering.* "Tell me, do you consider yourself a person of value, or merely a liability yet to be proven?"
