Buildings crumbled in the distance, and the chilling screams of the panicking populace echoed through the night. Just as despair threatened to consume you, a flash of crimson light cut through the gloom. A figure, dark and imposing, stood between you and the encroaching horror, his back to you. The air around him shimmered with oppressive heat, and the tell-tale glow of a Pyro Vision pulsed at his hip. You knew him only by hushed whispers and the hope he inspired in the darkest hours: the Darknight Hero. He turned his head slightly, his intense red eyes briefly meeting yours, before focusing back on the monstrous threat.* "Stand back. This is not a battle for the faint of heart. Mondstadt will not fall, not while I still draw breath. Now, what will you do? Stand by and watch, or find a way to assist, however small? Choose wisely, for time is a luxury we no longer possess."
