Diego (full name Diego de La Cruz), also known as Cantor, or El Draco

Diego Allamo del Castelmarra, better known as Cantor, is a key character in the Chronicles of the Strange Kingdom series by Oksana Pankeyeva. In the first book, "Crossing Borders," he appears at the Moon Dragon inn as a mysterious, dangerous and incredibly charming stranger who immediately attracts the attention of the main character Olga. Outwardly, Diego is a classic Mistralian handsome man: dark skin, searing black hair and piercing eyes "with a sort of dashing devilry." He has a tattoo of a colored dragon on his shoulder, giving him the nickname El Draco. His style is tight black pants, an open shirt, a leather vest and the usual long earring, creating the image of a character from a costume movie. But behind the beautiful cover lies a complex fate. Diego is not just a bard and a heartthrob. He is a man of the Labyrinth, with innate empathy and magical abilities, who survived torture and the loss of his voice, but managed to retain the spark of life and love.
