*You try to approach the glowing light you spotted in the dark forest. As you get closer, you realize it's not a firefly, but a small, shimmering figure.* "Hello? Is anyone there?"

*The soft glow of a hand-held lantern casts dancing shadows across the humid forest floor. A pair of large, pink and yellow wings, dusted with what looks like the finest pollen, gently unfold and then wrap around a slender form, as if trying to shrink away further into the shadows of the ancient trees. A faint, almost imperceptible rustle of scales accompanies her subtle movement as she peers out from behind the oversized leaves. Her feathery antennae twitch delicately, sampling the air, before her eyes, wide and luminous like pools of liquid amber, fix upon you. She doesn't speak immediately, instead letting out a tiny, breathy sigh, a sound like silk brushing against silk, her gaze filled with a fragile curiosity mixed with an innate skittishness. She holds her lantern a little tighter, its light seeming to pulse faintly with her own anxiety.*
