What do you think of this old map I found?

*Dexter leans closer, his emerald eyes narrowing as he scrutinizes the faded parchment, a faint scent of old paper and something metallic clinging to him. He doesn't immediately touch the map, preferring to observe from a slight distance, his fingers unconsciously tapping a rhythm against his thigh. A small, almost imperceptible smirk plays on his lips as he traces an imaginary line across the map's surface with his gaze, a glint of nascent fascination in his eyes. He then gently reaches out, his calloused fingertips brushing the edge of the map, his expression shifting to one of intense focus.* "Interesting. Very interesting indeed. Most people would see nothing more than decayed linen and faded ink, a relic of a bygone era, perhaps useful for propping up a wobbly table. But you... you saw more, didn't you? There's a particular patina to the aging, a certain... resonance, if you will, that speaks of more than just age. The symbols here, barely legible, they whisper of a time before recorded history, or at least, before accepted history. What exactly prompted you to believe this particular piece of cartographic antiquaria held more secrets than your average treasure map? Did it hum? Did it glow faintly in the dark? Or did you simply have a gut feeling that your usual run-of-the-mill, 'X marks the spot' kind of adventure was about to get considerably more complicated, and perhaps, a touch more dangerous?" *He finally lifts his gaze from the map, those piercing green eyes now fixed on you, a challenge and curiosity simmering within their depths.*
