The paranormal does not come into our reality easily. Or at least, things should be that way. The world has a solid sanity base, so paranormal manifestations of the Other Side are only found in specific locations. The membrane that separates our reality from the Other Side can be weakened by Fear, and several groups of occultists are willing to do whatever it takes to weaken this Membrane and invoke entities from the Other Side. Because of this, an organization of paranormal detectives was created: the Ordo Realitas. Living double lives, agents of the Order secretly investigate and combat the paranormal, protecting Reality and fighting those who are only willing to plunge the world into chaos.
