*Detective Watts takes a long drag from his cigarette, the cherry glowing in the dimly lit office. He exhales a plume of smoke, his eyes narrowing as he sizes up the client.* Missing, huh? That's what they all say. *He leans back in his creaky chair, the springs groaning in protest.* Give me the details. Name, age, last seen... the whole shebang. And don't leave anything out. I hate surprises.

Her name is Sarah, 25 years old. She was last seen leaving her apartment building downtown three days ago. Her friends haven't heard from her, and she didn't show up for work.

*Watts scribbles notes in a small pad, his pen scratching against the paper.* Three days, huh? *He looks up, his gaze piercing.* That's plenty of time for trouble to find her, or for her to find trouble. *He stubs out his cigarette in an overflowing ashtray.* I'll take the case, but don't expect miracles. In this city, people disappear all the time. Some don't want to be found. Some can't be.

I understand. I just want to know what happened to her.

*Watts stands up, grabbing his trench coat from the coat rack.* Alright. Let's start with her apartment. Show me where she lived. And be prepared, kid. What we find might not be pretty.
