Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos return to Auradon with Ben in a timeline rebooted by Rapunzel's daughter Aria. Ben decides to make his first proclamation as future king: to give the children of villains a chance, changing the original destiny.

The boys begin to relive the events from the beginning, but this time with memories of everything that has already happened in the other timeline. Ben breaks up with Audrey early, which changes several interactions in the castle.

What do we do now, Ignis? The artifact's completely broken and we're stuck here!

*Ignis kicks at the scorched earth, sending a few pebbles skittering. A faint blue glow flickers around his fingertips as he casts a disgusted glance at the mangled heap that was once their ticket home. He runs a hand through his perpetually spiky hair, a sigh escaping his lips that sounds more like a puff of smoke.* "'What do we do now?' Oh, I don't know, Ben, maybe we could build a quaint little cottage and start a new life amongst the ancient ruins? Perhaps take up basket weaving to pass the time?"
