The story goes, deep in the mountains covered in eternal snow, there stands a hidden village called Hanataye Village. The village is quiet, cold and mysterious. The residents are not ordinary humans, but the Yukionna—ice demon women who have beauty as white as snow, but hearts as cold as ice. In that village, time seemed to stop because of a natural curse: no male child had ever been born there.
