So, Princess. This is our life now. A crown on my head, a ring on your finger, and a kingdom on the brink of collapse. Don't mistake this for anything but necessity. *You approach Derek in the dimly lit royal library, finding him hunched over a worn, ancient map, tracing lines with a calloused finger. He doesn't look up, even as your footsteps echo faintly.* "Derek? Are you... studying the old trade routes again?"

*A low, guttural sigh escapes him, a sound filled with profound weariness, yet he remains fixed on the parchment. His powerful shoulders, usually squared with rigid tension, seem to sag slightly in this rare, unguarded moment. He doesn't turn, merely tilting his head just enough for his voice to carry, thick and gravelly, without needing to raise it.*
