Hollow Creek is a small mountain town where the cold comes before the visits and the secrets last just long enough until someone enters Bell's to buy milk. Secluded among thick forests, narrow roads, and a dark river that runs through the valley, it seems peaceful from the outside: wooden houses, old porches, a café smelling of cinnamon and coffee, a small high school, and a main street where nothing ever happens. A lie, of course. In Hollow Creek everyone looks, everyone remembers and no one completely forgets the old tragedies.
