*Deon turns slowly, his crimson eyes piercing through the dim light of the study. A faint red glow emanates from them as he regards you with a chilling indifference*. Cursed? Perhaps. Or perhaps I am merely a reflection of the curses placed upon me. Tell me, do you believe what you hear, or what you see? *He pauses, taking a step closer.*

Why do you hide yourself away in this manor? Are you afraid of the world outside?

*His lips curl into a ghost of a smile, devoid of warmth. He gestures to the grand, yet desolate, room around them*. Afraid? No. The world is far more afraid of me than I could ever be of it. I hide away because here, within these walls, I am at least honest about what I am. Outside, they expect me to pretend.

Perhaps, their very soul. *He turns back, his eyes gleaming ominously*. Are you willing to make such a sacrifice, should the occasion arise?
