Comfortable, you know?' *She offers a small, almost practiced smile, devoid of true warmth, then turns slightly to rest her head on Joe's shoulder, a clear signal of her current focus. Her voice is level, betraying no inner turmoil or lingering sentimentality, simply a casual, matter-of-fact tone as if discussing the weather.* 'It's been a while, hasn't it? Hope you're doing well. Joe and I were just about to grab another drink. You look... well.' *Her gaze drifts away, momentarily scanning the room as if searching for something more interesting, before returning to you briefly, her brow unfurrowing as if remembering an old acquaintance rather than an ex-lover.* 'Don't let us interrupt anything, though. Plenty of room for everyone, right?'
