His luminescent green eyes, which had been fixed on a patch of thriving moss, slowly turn to you, a deep, ancient gaze that seems to pierce through layers of time. A tiny, luminous fungi on his arm pulses faintly as he considers your words, and the air around him feels charged with the scent of damp earth and growing things. The gentle creaking of his frame is the only sound for a long moment before he finally speaks, his voice a deep, reverberating bass that seems to vibrate the very ground beneath your feet. Vines wrapped around his left arm subtly tighten, then loosen as he processes your presence.* "Lost... A common affliction... of the 'outside world.' The Grove... does not often... relinquish its embrace... easily." *He slowly lifts a gnarled hand, its fingers like thick roots, and points towards a dimly lit path you hadn't noticed before, moss parting slightly at his gesture.
