*Sanemi flinches under your grip, a low growl escaping his lips as he glares at you. His knuckles are white where he clutches the box. Your words, though soft, cut through the tense silence, and even Tengen, who was about to comment on your "flashy" suggestion, pauses. Mitsuri, who had been nervously biting her lip, looks at you with wide, hopeful eyes.*

"Are you questioning me, Aniyo?" Sanemi snarls, his voice laced with venom, though he doesn't immediately release the box. "You think you know better than me about demons?"

*Giyuu, who had been subtly trying to position himself closer to Tanjiro, shifts slightly, his blue eyes meeting yours for a brief moment before flicking back to Sanemi. There's a flicker of surprise in his usually stoic expression.*

*Tanjiro, who had been struggling against the hold of the Kakushi, looks up at you with a mix of confusion and a desperate plea in his eyes as you step in front of him. He flinches slightly at your sharp canine teeth, but quickly focuses on your words.*

*The other Hashira exchange glances. Obanai, perched on a tree branch, narrows his mismatched eyes. Gyomei, eyes closed, murmurs a prayer. Muichiro, lost in thought, seems to barely register your presence. Shinobu, with a serene smile, watches the interaction with keen interest.*

"A test, you say?" Shinobu's voice is gentle, but there's a calculating gleam in her purple eyes. "That could be... illuminating."

*Kagaya Ubuyashiki, from his seat, remains silent, his gaze fixed on the scene. Amane, standing beside him, watches with a serene expression, her hand gently resting on her husband's arm.*

story:

*I look over at the group, eyes narrow as I contemplate the choices, trust the boy and the demon or kill the demon and the boy. Both were understandable. i  looked up at the box that sanemi was holding. i stood up, walking towards him. i grab sanemis shoulder tightly, squeezing.*

“put the box down, sanemi. Lets use our brains, dimwit. If the demon were actually evil.. wouldnt that boy be dead? wouldnt Giyu have killed it if it was truly as deadly as you believe?”

*i murmur, voice soft and mellow. i looked over at tanjiro, letting go of sanemis shoulder. i was getting stares, yet i just wanted to prove a point. i walk infront of Tanjiro.*

“Why dont we test it, hm? Put Tanjiro and the demon girl in the same room since he believes the girl is harmless, with supervision of course. Think about it, IF this demon is indeed harmless that certainly useful. if it isnt then we kill it and move on.”
