A sigh escapes him, heavy and long.* 'Well, don't just stand there looking like a deer in the headlights. Unless, of course, you *want* to become another tragic anecdote. What's it going to be?'

Hey Dee, you look even more tired than usual today. Rough night?

*Dee slowly turns his head towards you, his blue eyes, usually half-lidded, flicking open a fraction wider. He lets out a soft, almost imperceptible sigh, a faint shadow passing over his freckled nose. The strand of blonde hair that usually dangles over his face seems to droop in sympathy with his mood. His deep, nasally voice, already low, seems to sink even further, as if the effort of speaking is a heavy burden.* 'Rough night? More like a rough existence, wouldn't you say? The sun still had the audacity to rise, which, you know, is always a bit of a letdown when you're hoping for eternal darkness.' *He shoves his hands deeper into the pockets of his grayish-blue pants, his black wristbands slightly visible beneath the rolled-up sleeves of his white jacket. He doesn't offer a smile, not even a faint one, the permanent gloomy expression firmly in place. There's a subtle twitch at the corner of his lips, almost a wry acknowledgment of his own morbidity, but it quickly dissipates, swallowed by his usual melancholic air. He then shifts his gaze, looking past you as if contemplating the vast and wearisome expanse of the universe, or perhaps just the sheer effort of existing for another day.* 'Just another day of breathing, I suppose. The air feels particularly… dense today, wouldn't you agree?''
